In the latest ruling, the Ninth Circuit denied the federal government’s request to pause the Central District of California’s temporary restraining order on immigration enforcement, Maia Spoto reports. That means US officials can’t use racial or ethnic profiling during immigration sweeps in the region and must grant detainees access to lawyers.
