Tensions in Los Angeles are beginning to subside, according to the Trump administration. But US immigration raids there are ongoing, and federal courts are still parsing which methods used by the administration in those raids may continue

In the latest ruling, the Ninth Circuit denied the federal government’s request to pause the Central District of California’s temporary restraining order on immigration enforcement, Maia Spoto reports. That means US officials can’t use racial or ethnic profiling during immigration sweeps in the region and must grant detainees access to lawyers.
