Gov. Gavin Newsom announced the appointment of 16 superior court judges across California, his office said Wednesday.
The appointees come from across private practice, public defense, prosecution, and government roles. They will fill vacancies created by retirements and judicial appointments across the state’s Superior Courts. The appointments include six judges in Los Angeles County, one in Merced County, one in Orange County, one in San Diego County, two in San Francisco County, three in Santa Clara County, one in San Joaquin County, and one in Tulare County.
