Musk Sticks to Script in Twitter Trial
Elon Musk largely stuck to the script when he took the stand Wednesday in a trial over statements during his purchase of Twitter.
Other than a handful of touchy exchanges with the attorney representing Twitter investors, Musk maintained that he was always committed to completing the Twitter acquisition. He said his May 13, 2022 tweet stating the deal was “temporarily on hold” was only a suggestion that there will be a “slight delay” in completing the deal while he got more information about how Twitter estimated fake accounts on its platform.
