CA Reveals Who’s Buying Your Data and Why
California officials have revealed a list of over 500 registered data brokers and their practices, exposing sales of personal information to foreign entities, the Trump administration, and AI firms, among other buyers, Cassandre Coyer reports.
The disclosure includes major companies like General Motors, LexisNexis, and T-Mobile, as well as lesser-known firms collecting biometric and reproductive health data. About 110 brokers admitted to gathering precise geolocation data.
