California Regulators Trim SCE’s Rate Request by $4.39 Billion

California regulators approved Southern California Edison’s 2025 to 2028 revenue at $41.78 billion, $4.39 billion below the utility’s request, according to an emailed statement.

• Residential bills with average monthly bill and usage of 500 kWh/month to rise 9.1% in 2025
• Approval covers wildfire risk reduction, grid hardening and load growth projects
  • $553.5 million authorized for vegetation management to cut ignition risks
• Accountability reports required on undergrounding and covered conductor work
