ICE Facilities in a State of ‘Emergency’
California Attorney General Rob Bonta says conditions at the state’s seven active ICE detention facilities have deteriorated into an “emergency,” with a new DOJ review finding violations of ICE’s own detention standards at every site, Megan Crepeau reports.
According to the report, detainees described overcrowding, unsanitary conditions, inadequate toilets, limited access to clean drinking water, and delays in urgent medical care.
