Ballard Partners, which has taken the lead in Washington lobbying on the strength of its ties to the Trump administration, has found growth elsewhere, including California’s deep-blue, pro-regulatory legislature.
The firm reported receiving about $2 million to lobby the state government in 2025, up from $774,000 the prior year, according to newly filed disclosures with the California Secretary of State’s Office.
That amount is smaller compared to the biggest lobbying shops in Sacramento, such as Axiom Advisors and Capitol Advocacy, which each had over $12 million in payments last year. Ballard Partners, however, has quickly built a roster of prominent ...
