Alaska Airlines Hit With Worker’s TikTok Dance Firing Bias Suit

A former Alaska Airlines Inc. flight attendant fired after posting a TikTok video of herself dancing in uniform filed suit alleging the company treated her more harshly than other workers due to her race and sex.

White and male colleagues posted similar videos of themselves dancing to explicit music but didn’t lose their jobs with no possibility of rehire, Janelle Diala, who’s Black and Asian American, said in the discrimination complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
