World Economic Forum Joins Standard Setter on ESG Reporting

As it gears up to issue its first ESG reporting standards, the International Sustainability Standards Board is tying up with the World Economic Forum to help companies use the new rules.

The WEF said Tuesday that it would set up a new body, the Forum ISSB Preparers Group, to inform the standard-setters of how businesses are using the environmental, social and governance reporting rules and to share best practices. The ISSB plans to publish its first two standards late this month, covering climate and general sustainability reporting, for use from fiscal year 2024.
