A conservative litigation group is suing leaders at the Wisconsin State Bar Association over its diversity clerkship program.
Wisconsin attorney Daniel Suhr, represented by the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty, alleges the bar’s program is unconstitutional in another lawsuit that targets a diversity internship program. The complaint, filed Wednesday, argues Suhr’s First Amendment rights are being violated because his mandatory dues to be a practicing attorney are being used against his wishes to fund the program.
The Wisconsin State Bar Association did not immediately return a request for comment.
