Winston & Strawn Names Bill O’Neil Chicago Managing Partner

Bill O’Neil has been appointed managing partner of Winston & Strawn’s Chicago office, the firm announced Monday.

Prior to his new role, O’Neil served as chair of Winston’s hiring committee for the last nine years, where he oversaw associate hiring firmwide, according to the announcement.

O’Neil focuses his practice on high-stakes trial work and serves as a strategic advisor to large corporations and private equity funds. He has tried business disputes to verdict in jurisdictions throughout the country, including dozens of mergers and acquisitions disputes in the Delaware Court of Chancery, the firm said.
