Lisa Brown joined WilmerHale as a partner and head of its higher education practice group in Washington, the firm announced Tuesday.
Brown will advise institutions of higher education on legal concerns, including admissions, anti-discrimination, free speech, financial aid, research, government contracting, sexual misconduct, and student-athletics, the firm said.
She joins from the Education Department, where she was general counsel.
