Willkie Farr & Gallagher said it advised Insight Partners, a private equity and venture capital firm, on the close of its twelfth flagship fund with over $20 billion to invest in technology and software startups.
The fundraise, its largest to date, brings total assets under management to over $90 billion, New York-based Insight Partners said in a statement. Both longstanding and new investors supported the effort, with Insight employees serving as the largest investor, the statement said.
Founded in 1995, Insight Partners said it has invested in more than 600 companies worldwide, and over 55 of its portfolio companies have launched initial public offerings.
Insight’s flagship funds typically invest between $5 million and $500 million and up into global, high-growth technology, software and Internet startup and scale-up companies, the statement said.
