A lawsuit alleges Williams-Sonoma Inc. infringed on the “Crypton” trademark by claiming its Pottery Barn furniture is selling Crypton chemical-treated furniture despite no longer treating its fabrics with the company’s chemicals.
Williams-Sonoma has profited from Pottery Barn’s sale of furniture by using the Crypton trademarks despite having stopped using Crypton’s treatment chemistry, according to the complaint filed Wednesday with the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
