Wife of Two Sigma’s Overdeck Says Firm Helped Him Hide Assets

The wife of Two Sigma Investments co-founder John Overdeck is claiming members of the quantitative hedge fund firm’s staff helped her husband shield billions of dollars in assets from divorce proceedings.

Laura Overdeck earlier this week asked a New Jersey court for permission to amend the 2023 lawsuit she filed against his estate lawyers at Seward & Kissel. She wants to include allegations that Two Sigma employees participated in a scheme to divert assets — including a large stake in the hedge fund firm — to irrevocable trusts controlled by her husband.
