The White House formally withdrew the nomination of Tommy Beaudreau to be an Interior Department assistant secretary, more than a month after Interior Secretary Sally Jewell’s elevation of Beaudreau to chief of staff.
Beaudreau was nominated May 12 to become interior assistant secretary for policy, management and budget, a post currently occupied by Rhea Suh, who has been nominated to shift to the job of assistant secretary for fish, wildlife and parks.
