Weil Grabs David Markman as Entertainment Partner From DLA Piper

David Markman joined Weil, Gotshal & Manges as a partner in its technology and intellectual property transactions practice in Los Angeles, the firm announced Monday.

Markman’s practice focuses on guiding entertainment leaders, production companies, and new media clients on entertainment transactions from project acquisition and financing to distribution and sales. He also represents writers, actors, directors, producers, and showrunners in the television, film, and new media industries, the firm said.

He joins from DLA Piper.
