Weil Gotshal Grows NY Private Funds Practice With Kirkland Hire

Sara Allawi joined Weil, Gotshal & Manges as a partner in its private funds group in New York, the firm announced Monday.

Allawi advises global private equity sponsors and asset managers in connection with the formation, structuring and negotiation of their investment funds. She has counseled sponsors with respect to every stage of a fund’s lifecycle, across strategies including buyout, credit, real estate, venture, secondaries and infrastructure, and has represented institutional investors, the firm said.

She joins from Kirkland & Ellis.
