Weil Adds Menachem Danishefsky as New York Tax Partner From Akin

Menachem Danishefsky joined Weil, Gotshal & Manges as a partner in its tax department in New York, the firm announced Monday.

Danishefsky’s practice focuses on tax matters related to private investment funds, including mergers and acquisitions, fund formation, international tax, and financial restructuring. He advises sponsors and limited partners on tax aspects of investment structures, and his clients include private equity and hedge fund managers, sovereign wealth funds, and sovereign wealth-related platforms, the firm said.

He joins from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld.
