Weil Adds Former SEC Leader Andrew Dean as Partner in New York

Andrew Dean joined Weil, Gotshal & Manges as a partner in its securities litigation and white collar defense, regulatory and investigations practices in New York, the firm announced Tuesday.

Dean will advise clients on internal and government investigations, enforcement actions, civil litigation, and compliance issues, particularly in the investment management industry, the firm said.

He joins from the Securities and Exchange Commission, where he was co-chief of the enforcement division’s asset management unit.
