Warren Says Binance Should Face DOJ Investigation: Crypto in DC

Massachusetts Democrat Elizabeth Warren wrote to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding a federal investigation against Binance Holdings Ltd., accusing the crypto platform of making false statements to her and two other US senators who asked about the firm’s business practices.

Warren, in the letter sent jointly with Maryland Democrat Chris Van Hollen, said the Justice Department should “conduct a rapid and thorough investigation” for what they say were false statements, including over whether Binance and affiliate Binance.US were truly separate entities.
