Warby Parker Taps Legal Chief From Within After Going Public (1)

Warby Parker Inc., the eyewear retailer that went public last year, has appointed a new head of legal in Christopher Utecht.

Utecht takes over for Hyung Bak, who spent more than three years as the company’s general counsel until he left earlier this month to become general counsel for private equity-owned Aspen Dental Management Inc.

Warby Parker hired Utecht last year as an associate general counsel for corporate and securities. He joined the New York-based company after serving as a deputy general counsel for food delivery service Grubhub Inc.
