- Mississippi attorney Daniel Sidney Dale was arrested Aug. 8 for bringing contraband into a correctional facility. Dale posed as legal counsel for some Hinds County detainees and was allegedly smuggling cellphones and other contraband during visitations. (WJTV)
- Former Pinsent Masons lawyer Rose Harvey lost her job during the Covid pandemic and turned to jogging to fill her time. Four years later, she is representing Great Britain in the Olympic marathon in Paris. (The Times)
- JetBlue and Spirit are asking a judge not to reward nine law firms that sued to block the airlines’ proposed $3.8 billion merger, arguing that the firms “piggy-backed” on the Justice Department’s separate lawsuit challenging the deal. (Reuters)
