The firm is discussing a $40 million convertible note that could become equity in a future managed services organization, a model that would let investors back the firm’s brand and operations without owning the legal practice itself.   • Linklaters is creating a 20-person global team of “AI lawyers,” a hybrid role looking to combine human legal expertise with hands-on AI implementation to reshape client work.   • Harvard Law visiting professor Carlos Gouvea was placed on pre-trial probation after being arrested for firing a BB gun near a synagogue during Yom Kippur services. Gouvea, who lives near the synagogue, told police he was hunting rats. Temple leaders said the incident appeared dangerous but not antisemitic. Prosecutors dropped several charges—including vandalism, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace. (Boston Globe)
