  • Washington litigator Abbe Lowell joined the legal team representing the Freedom of the Press Foundation in its efforts to pressure Paramount not to settle President Donald Trump’s $20 billion lawsuit targeting CBS and 60 Minutes. Lowell and fellow attorney Norm Eisen warned a deal with Trump would “irreparably damage the company’s brand” and said they would sue Paramount if it moved forward with a settlement.   • Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio decided to split from his personal lawyer and will instead be represented by the legal services of his club. Asencio and former teammates Ferran Ruiz, Juan Rodriguez, and Andres Garcia are accused of distributing a sexual video of a minor. (SI.com)
  • Ice Miller signed a lease for an additional 6,000 square feet in its Baltimore office, increasing its total space to 11,000 square feet. The firm will occupy a majority of the 27th floor of the city’s 100 Light Street tower. The firm’s Baltimore workforce has more than quadrupled since the office opened in 2023. (The Daily Record)
