Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz represented Cantor Fitzgerald LP as US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick passed his stake in the Wall Street business group to his children and private outside investors.

Wachtell corporate partner and co-chair of the firm’s M&A practice, David K. Lam, led the firm’s team of lawyers guiding the transaction. Wachtell has advised Cantor in past transactions, including its 2017 sale of subsidiary Berkeley Point Financial LLC to BGC Partners.
