Visa Hires Beth Wilkinson for Justice Department Antitrust Suit

Visa Inc. has hired veteran trial lawyer Beth Wilkinson to defend against the Department of Justice’s antitrust suit.

Wilkinson, a partner at the Washington DC boutique firm Wilkinson Stekloff, led Microsoft Corp.'s successful defense last year against the Federal Trade Commission move to block its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard Inc., along with firm partner Kieran Gostin.

Her wide-ranging resume also includes prosecuting Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh in the 1990s, representing then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in the lead up to his testimony on sexual assault allegations in 2018, and investigating the Washington Commanders workplace culture on behalf ...
