Vinson & Elkins Poaches Upcott From A&O Shearman

Harry Upcott joined Vinson & Elkins as a partner in its finance practice in London, the firm announced Monday.

Upcott advises financial institutions, lessors, private equity sponsors, operators, and airlines on complex financing, leasing, and M&A transactions in the aviation and satellite sectors. He has particular experience in advising on innovative, transformational, and high-value transactions and provides commercially focused pragmatic advice to clients navigating these evolving markets, the firm said.

He joins from A&O Shearman, where he had been a partner since 2009.
