Vinson & Elkins Picks Up Debevoise Tech Deals Counsel Kassahun

Tigist Kassahun joined Vinson & Elkins as a corporate partner in Washington, D.C., the firm announced Monday.

Kassahun joins from Debevoise & Plimpton, where she was counsel. She has significant experience in all aspects of intellectual property and technology aspects of commercial transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, financings, and capital markets offerings, the firm said.

She will start in V&E’s Washington office before transitioning her practice to New York, according to the firm.
