Jon Niermann joined Vinson & Elkins partner in its environmental practice in Austin, the firm announced Monday.
Niermann counsels project developers on permitting issues, enforcement actions, and compliance with environmental regulations, the firm said.
He previously served as chairman of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
