Venable Hires Sheng as IP Litigation Partner in San Francisco

Philip Sheng has joined Venable as a partner in the intellectual property litigation and technology group in San Francisco, the firm said Wednesday.

Sheng, who focuses on complex intellectual property disputes, has represented clients before the International Trade Commission, federal district and appellate courts, and the US Patent and Trademark Office, according to Venable. He has experience in matters involving telecommunications, semiconductor integrated circuits, smartphone and tablet displays, and life sciences and pharmaceuticals.

He also served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Randall R. Rader of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
