Venable Adds Hayes to Investigations, White Collar Defense Team

Daniel Hayes has joined Venable as a partner in the investigations and white collar defense practice in the Chicago office, the firm said Tuesday.

Hayes was previously supervisory trial counsel and senior trial counsel with the Securities and Exchange Commission, according to Venable. Most recently, he served as co-head of the trial unit of the SEC’s Chicago Regional Office.

He will represent clients in government enforcement actions and investigations, internal corporate investigations, securities class actions, and other business disputes, said the firm.
