Vanguard has tapped Natalie Lamarque to join the firm as chief legal officer, the investment management company said Thursday.
Lamarque will oversee legal, compliance, public policy, and investment stewardship activities at Vanguard. She previously served as executive vice president, general counsel, and secretary at Principal Financial Group and as senior vice president and general counsel at New York Life Insurance Company. Lamarque has also worked as a federal prosecutor and in private practice. She holds degrees from Duke University and serves on several boards related to law and compliance.
