The Ninth Circuit won’t reconsider a May decision refusing to pause an injunction stopping the government from cutting federal funding for the program that ensures unaccompanied minors have lawyers in immigration proceedings.
The appeals court denied the government’s petition for a rehearing en banc—that is, by the full US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit—over the dissent of nine of the court’s 29 active judges on October 10.
