EL SALVADOR would get $4.7 million to imprison deported Venezuelan migrants under an agreement with the Trump administration, but there’s a newly-revealed catch: the money can’t be used in ways that clash with President Donald Trump’s policies on abortion, diversity, and immigration, Zoe Tillman reports.

  • A copy of the agreement was released late Monday as part of a court fight over the administration’s efforts to send people arrested in the US to El Salvador’s prison facilities, including Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo, a large prison infamous for its dangerous and unsanitary conditions.
