US Chamber, Trade Groups Ask FTC to Extend Noncompete Deadline (1)

The US Chamber of Commerce and dozens of other associations asked the Federal Trade Commission to extend the deadline for public comment on the agency’s proposed rule banning nearly all noncompete agreements.

The 100 trade groups that signed the Tuesday letter said their members will be broadly impacted by the rule and they need another 60 days beyond the March 20 deadline to assess its affects.

Other organizations signing the letter include the National Federation of Independent Business, the Managed Funds Association, the National Restaurant Association and Business Roundtable.
