Ashurst LLP has boosted pay for its newly qualified lawyers in London by £15,000 ($20,000), raising their pay to £140,000 ($190,000) per year, a spokesperson for the firm confirmed.
The rise puts it closer to the uppermost echelon with UK-founded rivals such as Freshfields and Linklaters, which last year bumped pay for their junior lawyers up to £150,000.
