UK Carbon Jumps 16% on FT Report of Linking With EU Market (1)

UK carbon futures soared on Tuesday after the Financial Times reported that the UK government is preparing to link the British market to the larger one in the European Union.

The UK has requested that the matter should be included on the agenda for a spring summit, likely in March or April, with the bloc to discuss their post-Brexit relationship, the paper said, citing two EU officials.
