UC Researchers Win Release of Federal Funds From More Agencies

University of California researchers won a new court injunction preventing the National Institutes of Health and the Departments of Defense and Transportation from cutting millions in federal research grants, adding to an existing injunction against three other federal agencies.

Judge Rita F. Lin in an order Monday said the researchers are likely to win their lawsuit alleging the government cut grants with the intention of suppressing speech supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion under the direction of President Donald Trump.
