Two Firms Run Kohlberg’s 50% Stake Buy in US Infrastructure Corp

Paul Weiss is advising Kohlberg & Co. on the private equity firm’s acquisition of a 50% stake in United States Infrastructure Corporation, which provides outsourced services locating, identifying, and marking utilities’ underground infrastructure.

Ropes & Gray advised the seller, Partners Group, on the transaction, which values USIC at $4.1 billion. A group of new partners that includes funds managed by Neuberger Berman joined Kohlberg in its investment, while Partners is keeping a 50% “co-lead” stake in USIC, according to a statement.
