Two Firms Help SkyKnight Buy Pearl Street Dental Partners Stake

Oct. 7, 2022, 10:50 AM UTC

Holland & Knight advised SkyKnight Capital on the San Francisco-based private equity firm’s investment in Pearl Street Dental Partners, a Dallas, Texas-based dental practice management company.

DLA Piper counseled Pearl Street, whose co-founders, David Meece and Robby Jennings, dentist shareholders, and the company’s existing investor, Talisker Partners, will remain significant shareholders. Pearl Street’s management will continue to lead the company, according to a statement.

No financial details were disclosed for the transaction.

Pearl Street said its 32 partner practices have over 350 employees across Texas and Oklahoma. It provides the practices centralized non-clinical resources, such as payroll, accounting, and human resources services, and information technology, among others. The resources are aimed at allowing the partner dentists to focus on dentistry and patient care, while retaining significant ownership stakes in their practices.

DLA Piper said its team was led by partner Martin Nichols and included partners Jordan Bailowitz, Russell Sass, Stephen Taeusch, and Paolo Morante.
