Dechert advised Cerberus Capital Management on its investment in Lighthouse Autism Center, a provider of behavioral analysis for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

McDermott Will & Emery advised South Bend, Ind.-based Lighthouse.

Lighthouse founder and chief executive officer Gregg Maggioli and Abry Partners will also invest in the transaction, for which no financial details were disclosed, according to a statement.

Maggioli will continue to lead the center with his management team, the statement says. He founded the center with his wife, Sandy Maggioli, in 2012, after volunteering in another center for several years when their son was diagnosed with autism, according to Lighthouse’s website.

Scott Badesch, former president and CEO of the Autism Society of America, said outcome-based applied behavioral analysis therapy has proven effective at helping autistic people improve their quality of life.

“This new and impressive partnership will help in further advancing the highest standard of outcome-based services, enabling more individuals impacted by autism and their parents to benefit from Lighthouse’s approach and team,” Badesch said.
