The US Senate confirmed John Squires as director of the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Squires was confirmed 51 to 47 on party lines Thursday as part of a single Senate vote to approve dozens of President Donald Trump’s nominees. The vote occurred after Republicans pushed a change in Senate rules to speed up the nominations process.
