Trump Delays EPA Refrigerant Limits in Affordability Push (1)

President Donald Trump said he’s easing requirements on planet-warming refrigerants, touting the move as a way to cut costs for consumers as he looks to address voters’ affordability concerns before November midterms.

The action would “substantially lower costs for consumers, protect hundreds of thousands of jobs, and save Americans well over $2 billion dollars a year,” Trump said Thursday at a White House event where he was joined by Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin and business leaders, including Kroger Co. Chief Executive Officer Greg Foran.
