President Donald Trump refiled a streamlined version of his $15 billion defamation lawsuit against the New York Times, stripping out the “repetitive,” “superfluous” and “florid” allegations and details that resulted in a federal judge tossing it out last month.

The new suit, filed Thursday in in Tampa, Florida, comes in at 40 pages long — less than half the original 85. His lawyer removed extensive detail about Trump’s rise to fame and fortune, his 2024 election victory over Kamala Harris, a cover image of his 1987 book Trump: The Art of the Deal as well as color photographs of Trump ...
