PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP said today he would take federal control of Washington DC’s police department and deploy 800 National Guard troops there — two months after sending soldiers into LA’s streets to quell protests over immigration raids, Hadriana Lowenkron and Josh Wingrove report.
