Trump Administration Drops Southwest Scheduling Lawsuit

The Trump administration dropped a lawsuit against Southwest Airlines Co. that accused the airline of setting unrealistic flight schedules that led to chronic delays.

In a one-sentence filing, the US Transportation Department requested the dismissal of the lawsuit late Friday without citing a reason. Agency officials didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
