Scott A. Stengel will join Truist Financial Corporation as senior executive vice president and chief legal officer Dec. 26 in Charlotte, N.C., according to a Wednesday news release.
Stengel, who succeeds Ellen M. Fitzsimmons, will serve as corporate secretary to the Truist Board of Directors and become a member of the bank’s operating council, according to Truist.
He has served as general counsel of Ally Financial and UMB Financial Corporation and as a partner at King & Spalding and Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe.
