Tribune Newspaper Giant Searching for New General Counsel

Tribune Publishing Co., formerly known as Tronc Inc., is in the market for a new general counsel as it prepares to part ways with its current top lawyer.

Julie Xanders, a former associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher who has worked in-house at Tribune and predecessor the Times Mirror Co. since 1993, will continue to serve as an executive vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary of the print and online media company through May 29.
