Three Big Law firms are behind the latest massive artificial intelligence deal: CoreWeave Inc.'s $9 billion plan to buy data center operator Core Scientific Inc.
Coreweave will gain more than a gigawatt of data-center capacity through the all-stock purchase. Davis Polk & Wardwell and Kirkland & Ellis guided CoreWeave in the transaction, while Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz advised Core Scientific.
Artificial intelligence is driving transactions beyond technology, including infrastructure deals involving data centers for AI power needs. The three firms guiding the Coreweave transactions led the ranks of M&A dealmakers in the first half of the year.
